Yubo (formerly known as Yellow) is a French social networking app developed by Twelve APP in 2015.[1]

Consumer impact summary

  • Privacy — Yubo collects the following information on all signed-up users:[2]
  • Date of birth. Yubo has a minimum age of 16, and users are separated into different communities based on age.
  • A real-time photo, taken in-app, that is used by age estimation (AI Age Verification) to confirm the date of birth provided is accurate.
  • Name and gender. Although the user's real name is needed to set up their Yubo account, they can then use a different user name on their profile.
  • A profile photo that shows their face clearly. This can be a photo from their camera roll or a selfie, but photos of other people, cartoons or pictures of pets can't be used as the main profile picture.
  • E-mail address and mobile telephone number. The latter is later verified and Yubo will send a confirmation code through it.
  • Additionally, if the user wants to be verified, they must submit an ID (passport or driving licence).

Incidents

Add one-paragraph summaries of incidents below in sub-sections, which link to each incident's main article while linking to the main article and including a short summary. It is acceptable to create an incident summary before the main page for an incident has been created. To link to the page use the "Hatnote" or "Main" templates.

If the company has numerous incidents then format them in a table (see Amazon for an example).
