Defective screens
On March 8, 2025, Retroid announced a limited return window for customers experiencing screen-related issues with the Retroid Pocket Mini, specifically when using CRT and pixel grid effect shaders.[1] The return window is open from March 8th to March 14th, with a cap of 200 return orders for overseas customers.[2]
Customers who return their devices will be reimbursed for the cost of the device (excluding taxes and shipping fees). However, they are required to cover the return shipping costs. Retroid emphasized that this initiative is a significant financial undertaking and urged only those genuinely affected by screen issues to utilize the return option.
Users have already reported denied warranty covers.[2]
The product is still available for purchase[3] with the defective screen disclosed on the product page:
Note: This product has a screen that does post-processing in a way some customers find unacceptable. This effect is most noticeable using shaders in emulators that support them. Please take this into consideration before you purchase.
