Lifetime membership revoked (2023)
Okkazeo used to offer a "Premium" [2] status to its users. This came with several benefits : it was a one-time payment to be able to promote 5 active sales simultaneously (instead of only 1 for free users) and additional quality of life advantages. Some users perceived this permanent transaction as a good investment as well as a nice way to promote and encourage a growing website.

In 2023, Okkazeo revoked its users' lifetime subscription and turned it into an annual subscription[3] (to be renewed at the anniversary of the original payment date, should it be less than 1 year old). Some new limitations were also introduced to non-paying users, like not being able to see the new games for sales for the first 24 hours of publication of each new item, leaving a significant advantage to buyers of the new formula.
After notifying the website by email that renegotiating the terms of a past trade was a breach of agreement, a refund for the original payment could be issued (with immediate termination of the advantages it procured), or the user could simply wait until the anniversary of the subscription and decide to pay or not for the new formula. This change raised little concern overall but a few users were surprised or disappointed on some community forums.[4]
The discontinuation of the original offer is acknowledged although "barely" described on the official website[1] .
However an email sent to users at the time of the change was more explicit about the impacts:
