EviCore by Evernorth is a medical benefits management company which has been accused of using AI to systematically deny medical coverage at higher rates than previously seen. UnitedHealthcare, Aetna and Blue Cross Blue Shield and some Medicare and Medicaid contractors outsource prior authorization decisions for the most specialized and expensive procedures[1]
