Chamberlain Group LLC is an intelligent garage door opener company founded in 1954. They boast 50M+ homes with their products installed, and also offer commercial garage door opener systems.
Incidents
- 2023: Disabled access to the myQ ecosystem to "prevent unauthorized usage." This removal of API access to the myQ ecosystem prevented users from utilizing features that were previously available to customers. An example of an affected product is the Chamberlain MYQ-G0401 Wireless Smart Garage Hub.[1]
- 2023: Discontinued support for "myQ Home Bridge" kit, which bricked a $70-90 device, with no refunds offered.[2]
