Incident

Lately, a login with an active ad blocker is no longer possible. The following message is displayed and you are immediately logged out:

Please disable ad blocking for cerberusapp.com, to use the web dashboard. You can also use the app instead of the web dashboard, to send commands to your device.

The only way to log in to this service - even if you have an active subscription - is to to disable a security feature in your browser. The mentioned app does not have many of the features that the web dashboard offers and refers you to the web dashboard on several occasions when using it

Especially managing your subscription - as one might want to do after seeing the login message - is not possible within the app.

However, when contacted the support offered an $100 USD buyout to remove the ads from the web dashboard.[1] It is unknown if paying the fee will enable the customer to keep the ad blocking security feature enabled for this site.

On request, the support is able to cancel the subscription but will not refund.
